Synced music dissapearing from ipod touch

This isn't the first time I've lost music (there just being nothing in my saved songs) but it's the first time that deleting the app didn't replace it. I spent the last two days resyncing my near 2000 songs (yes that's how long it took) and immediately as it completed the last song, all the music is gone/greyed out again. As you can imagine this is very frustrating and while I'm letting it resync now I feel as though I will have to stop it before completion so it doesn't delete all my music again. I enjoyed spotify very much when I started out but these errors have become increasingly common as time has gone on and it's hard to see myself continuing paying for a service that "loses" all my music-especially the moment I just got it back. If I can't play music without being at a computer, it makes just as much sense to have a free account.

It happened again after syncing a couple hundred songs, this is getting a bit ridiculous.
