Syncing latest gen Ipod Nano with Spotify

I just got an ipod nano and cannot get Spotify to recognize it as a device. Should Spotify be able to see it, or is it not supported?

If the former, any suggestions on what to do to get it to work? I have tried everything I can find on the subject, but without success.

Unfortunately, Spotify do not support syncing any iPods with the new Lightning connector due to this open bug:

Unfortunately, it has been marked as "Won't be fixed" meaning there is no fix for the issue in the pipeline currently.

Syncing with iTunes instead is all I can suggest (since you can only sync local files with Spotify to an iPod Nano anyways).
