Username listed as string of numbers on iPhone when connected with Facebook

Hello. I am connected to my Spotify student premium account via Facebook sign-on. However, my username on my iPhone app is something like "1243756321." This makes it awkward to share playlists and tracks.

Anyone have a similar problem? I tried changing my information on Facebook but the username is only listed as the above on my iPhone app.

Hey @AwkwardButter

Since you created your Spotify account through Facebook your username is a random string of characters. All new Spotify accounts made today no matter if you signed up using email and password will also have this for the username.

Spotify instead displays your name instead. The app should be showing the name you have on your Facebook account instead of the random characters.

Can you try logging out of the app, and then log back in? Hopefully that will force a resync with the server and display your display name properly again.

Thank you for your reply. My name does appear on my account. However, when collaborating on a playlist with friends, they see my digits, not my name. This is even if I log out and back in.

Also can you clarify the following:

Is it the Created By bit that has the problem?

Or, is it the section where it shows who a track was added by in a collaborative playlist?
