Verizon iPhone 5 ios 6.1.2 as of 3/6/13 BAD battery drain

Verizon iPhone 5 ios 6.1.2 as of 3/6/13 BAD battery drain

Trying to keep this thread alive for spotify to fix this issue. I have a Verizon iPhone 5 running the most current software as of 3/6/13, ios 6.1.2. I have tried only using the offline mode in spotify, and it doesn't seem to help. I have removed and reinstalled the app 3 times. I have tried to remove the app from the multitasking tray after using it. I have even tried not using the app but just have it installed. I have even tried removing the Facebook app from my phone to see if maybe spotify was looking for Facebook authentication (I use spotify premium logging in through Facebook). Nothing helps. I get between 7-9 hours of on screen time usage with my iPhone normally. With spotify installed, I typically can get 3.5-4 hours of on screen time. Again, this is without even using the app, just having in installed on my phone.

As Spotify know about the issue, there is nothing more you can do. Yes, you can post multiple times, but is that going to make Spotify fix the bugs faster? I doubt it. It'll just annoy the community staff, and get you banned 😉

Just my two cents 🙂

Delete one of my posts if you're annoyed. I'm annoyed the app doesn't work. It's my first post (two, technically) and I honestly didn't want to post twice, but realized after the first one that I hadn't put the post in line with the correct thread, so I just reported it in the other one.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I wasn't telling anyone off 😉

I was just saying it probably wasn't going to make the dev team work any faster (TBH, they would probably go slower if they were being rushed. I do that.)

At spotify, we understand that you are frustrated but I'm sure the spotify team is doing all they can to fix the issue, and also keep in mind you're not the only one having problems, they have several bugs that need to be solved, they can't do it all, they aren't superman ya know. The best you can do is have patience.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I had noticed nobody had updated the other thread or posted in it for a while, so I just thought I would keep it going. Thanks for the awesome music service and support, hopefully us iPhone 5 users will be able to use the app again soon. Thanks again.

No problem. It's our job to assist you. I'm just glad to be of assistance.
