Why is spotify pausing my song when my browser page refreshes?

Hey! I was doing my normal thing, and I had to refresh my browser tab. When I did that, Spotify faded into a pause and I don’t know why. I’ve tried closing and opening my Spotify app and the browser, but neither worked.

Something odd seems to have happened here, so let's try to get to the bottom of it.
Could you let us know what you're seeing when you open the app. Are the controls simply greyed out? A screenshot would be of help 🙂
We'd also like to know what your device's model is, alongside its OS version and your Spotify app version.

I'd recommend restarting your app and, in case the issue persists, as a starting troubleshooting step, see if removing your app's cached data would make a difference. A step further would be to go for a complete clean reinstall of the app.
