iCloud is backing up Offline songs. HELP!

Hey all,

I have to assume this is the same for everyone. iCloud on my iPhone is backing up all of my OFFLINE songs. Why? There is no reason to. They will always be available for download if I get a new phone. Just flip a switch in the app and it's done.

I need this feature disabled. There is ZERO need to backup OFFLINE songs. It eats up iCloud storage space.

You all must agree.

You cannot turn this off. You can turn off Spotify backup in iCloud setting, bu that's like up to 5MB of basic Spotify data... This doesn't do much.

If you go to iPhone SETTINGS and then STORAGE you'll see the Spotify DATA that iCloud backs up. This is where you see the GB's of songs being backed up.

Please help with this. We need the option to disable OFFLINE song backup to iCloud.

Hey @GCLaredo207! Welcome to the Spotify Community!

That's not cool! Spotify songs don't get backed up to your iCloud. The storage usage shown in 'Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage' is the storage used on your iPhone. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you! The Apple Store employee told me they got backed up because Messages do as well and it's all under the same colum on that screen. You are correct. I went back and removed my backup and started over.... The songs were not backed up. Sweet!
