iOS 10 - Issue with Spotify for Iphone

iOS 10 - Issue with Spotify for Iphone

Hi Team

I connect to Spotify via Lightning Cable in my vehicle and any music I want to listen to is cached as I use Spotify Premium.

The issue happening now is if the network changes in any way when listening to any song on Spotify (eg, 4G to 3G, 3G to no Signal, 3G to Wireless) audio from spotify is shown to stop and then restart (The play icon goes to pause and then goes back to play). This happens regardless of whether a song or album has been downloaded to the phone or not. Its quite annoying as it disrupts the playback of a song when the network type changes (and here in NZ depending on where you are it can change alot).

Please advise.

Hello @bashnz, welcome to the Spotify Community!

I suggest a clean reinstallation (https://support.spotify.com/learn-more/faq/#!/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/) of the Spotify app.

If you're still having issues after the reinstall when the network changes, please let me know.

Well I uninstalled Spotify from my iPhone as per the support instructions and reinstalled, unfortunately the same behaviour still occurs. Any other ideas?

I'll ask you to restart your phone by pressing Home + Lock for 10 seconds.

Let me know if after that you're still having problems.

Can't download it at the AppStore. It's stuck. Tried everything, still won't work. it's always like that

Hi

Unfortunately not, although I can't see the icon change to pause and play anymore, audio out gets disrupted when the signal changes from 3G to 4G or wireless. As previously mentioned audio is being delivered via the lightning port and not the audio jack of the iPhone 6. Yes I have changed cables in case of a cable fault.
