iOS 7.1 Beta crashing when connected to bluetooth car

Description

2011 Subaru Impreza WRS STI stock radio when playing music over bluetooth skipping tracks using steering wheel buttons or turning off the car crashes spotify.

A more detailed description, using numbered steps

1. pair device with car
2. play some music (I've been able to consistently crash it with any radio station)
3. try to skip to the next track
4. App crashes.

What I expected to happen

I expect the next track to play and the app to not crash

the app crashed back to springboard

Sorry, crashlogs on device don't work in 7.1 beta and I'm not near itunes right now. I can provide the logs if they are needed later.

I can confirm that I have had this issue since I installed the beta of ios 7.1. I think it is an issue in the beta, not spotify, as all third party apps crash when I try to play or skip songs
