iOS Navigation Bar not disappearing when video goes full screen

My Question or Issue

iOS navigation bar doesn’t hide when I set the video player to fullscreen so the bar covers some of the video and is distracting. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, cleared cache and it still continues.

My Question or Issue

The home bar on iOS does not fade when a video podcast is playing full screen in landscape. The home bar appears, fades and reappears quickly and then remains on the screen permanently.

The home bar is supposed to fade out of view and return for a period of time when the user taps and interacts with the screen but it should then fade out again within a dedicated time.
