My Question or Issue

I recently started premium again (as a student) but on my iPhone the ability to like songs or albums to add them to my liked doesn’t show up unless I log out and log back into the app, otherwise it becomes “add to playlist.” I’m able to like anything on desktop, so it’s only mobile that seems to be the issue. I read another thread on here where someone else dealt with a similar issue, and followed the suggestions from there (a quick restart, clearing cache and clean restart following the instructions from Spotify), but neither have worked for me and my problem still persists. I’ve also tried logging out of my Spotify from all devices where it was open but still, nothing.

Hi there @jackcouser! Welcome to the Community. I'm happy to help you 🙂

With the (+) button, the "Like all songs" menu option on album pages and playlists was replaced and now it can be done by tapping the "Add to playlist" menu option within the three-dot menu and then selecting the "Liked Songs" playlist. Additionally, using the (+) plus button on a song will automatically add a song to the liked songs.

Also, this option is currently available on mobile app versions, that's why you don't see the same behavior on the Desktop app.

You can read more about this change here.

Hope this clears things up. Let me know if you need something else.
