iOS Spotify search bar not aligned with touch area. cross button difficult to hit.

I find it hard to tap in the search bar. Hitting the cross button is a challenge. I did some tests and it seems that the search bar is not aligned with the corresponding area of the touch screen. I have to touch below the search bar and slightly to the left to hit it. The offset is about 0.5cm down and 0.5cm left on an iPhone 5S 4 inch screen.
Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. go to search section of the iOS app
2. hit the touch screen right over the cross button. No response.
3. hit the touch screen 0.5cm below and 0.5cm left of the cross button. The search bar is cleared.
