[iOS][Sync] Sync groups wrong duplicate files

[iOS][Sync] Sync groups wrong duplicate files

Hi everyone,

I have an album in iTunes consisting of two CDs, the first one has the studio versions, second one has the live versions on it. The names for the songs are the same in the idtag. Searched for them in Spotify, added them to one playlist and then told Spotify to sync those files to my iPhone. However it syncs only the album version and uses those files for the live version as well. The playlist works fine on the Mac thou.

I already deleted this playlist from the iPhone and resynced, problem remains

Anyone else with this problem?

Select the tracks in your Spotify, then right click and select "Unlink Track". That will break the connection between your local files being wrongly matched to the version in the Spotify catalogue.

Thanks for your reply Peter, however the local files are not linked at all with the Spotify catalogue (Japanese artist)
