local files playlist not showing up?

My Question or Issue

When i hit the switch to allow local files to show up on the spotify the playlist does not show up. I turn it on and go to my playlists and there is no local files playlist. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and also clearing the cache but it is not working. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Community and thanks for getting in touch.

 

The way Local files work has changed recently. The synchronization between files from PC and your mobile device/tablets over the network is no longer available. In order to play them in your Spotify app, the audio files need to be physically present on your device's storage. You have to upload them and store them locally.  

 

We'd recommend that you follow the steps in this FAQ and you should be able to access the songs shortly. 

 

In case you already uploaded them correctly and you're still unable to play see them, it will be a good idea to open your Spotify Apps's Settings on your iPad and make sure that the following two options are toggled on.
