Description
I save an album on Spotify and then save it for offline use.
I press play to listen to the album.
I open Chrome browser to visit a website.
Just as the page is about to complete loading Spotify stops playing.
I go back to Spotify and press play again and the song restarts.
I reopen my browser to use the Internet and the page begins to reload. Just as the page is about to complete loading Spotify stops again.
This continues to happen.
This happens for both content that I have choosen to play offline locally and content I'm listening to streamed. It doesn't occur with all websites but with quite a lot of them that I visit from my social media stream. irishtimes.com is a good example.
It is possibly related to cookies as I cleared out all cached data from Chrome at one point and the problem seemed to stop temporarily but as I continue to use the Internet and gather cookies the problem has reappeared. I don't feel it's my responsibility to manage my browser so that I can have uninterrupted playback in Spotify.
I expect to be able to listen to offline content uninteruppted regardless of network activity and whether the browser has focus on my phone and I expect the streams to continue to play when there is network available regardless of if it has to share the bandwidth with my browser.
This problem has persisted over several updates to both Spotify and Chrome.
