I have noticed this a few times in the past, but never figured out why. Sometimes when I go to play a song in a playlist, artist page or album page, some completely random song (often by a different artist) plays instead. Today I realised that the replacement songs always seem to be songs that I like so I looked into it a little.
Today's example:
I played "System..." by Enter Shikari through their artist page, with shuffle off so the next song should have been "...Meltdown" by Enter Shikari. However, to my surprise, "Disposession" by Northlane came on. Huh!? Okay than, next song... "the few that remain" by Set Your Goals. Next song, and the correct 4th song in the album comes on finally. Further down the album things were muddled up again.
This wasn't a one time bug, I just went back and exactly the same happened. So it's reproducable, but only specifically to me!
Since these were songs I know I like, I checked my starred playlist... And I came across a section as follows:
...
...
"System..." wasn't in the starred playlist (because who stars an intro?), but I think its more than a coincidence that these songs are right near each other in my starred songs list.
Looking again now, I can see that the songs which came on wrongly are in my starred playlist more than once ("the few that remain" is repeated 2 songs below my example list, with Disposession repeated right after that). Attached a photo for clarity! I starred the songs when I was using the desktop application.
Thanks in advance for any help!
