Hello there.
I have an issue with Spotify on my Chromecast Audio.
Purchased my CCA 2 days ago and it works well with all other cast apps but not Spotify.
I purchased the CCA mainly to play Spotify on my system so this is a big problem for me.
Issue:
Chromecast Audio connects to wifi without problems. It connects to my phone without problems.
I can cast Spotify to the Chromecast, but when i try to skip songs it will freeze and reboot after
1 - 3 skips. Sometimes it will not load a song at all and directly freeze.
Typical for the problem is that it will loop and pause the previous song when trying to select a new one.
So it is stuck on the previous song, pauses it when selecting a new song, then resuming the looped song when selecting something else.
Solutions tried that did not work:
• Reinstall of Spotify
• Changed routers (Zyxel p8702n and Netgear WNR3500L)
• tried different devices ( Samsung galaxy S6, Meizu MX4pro, Nexus 7) Same problem on all devices.
• Factory reset of Chromecast Audio
• Swapping wifi connection points
• Tried both 2.4 gHz and 5 gHz wifi connection as well as 802.11ac
• Swapped wifi channels from Auto and tried channel# 3,6 and 11.
• uPnP settings checked and static DHCP tried (problem still remain)

Chromecast Audio firmware: 1.18.55065
Chromecast Audio signal strength: Full
Distance between connection pont to chromecast audio: less than 1 meter
Distance between android device to chromecast audio: less than 3 meter
