I already found some topics but no solution to this problem: Spotify Connect drains the battery of my phone.
Use-case:
I have installed the Spotify App for Windows Desktop and the Spotify App on my Android Phone. Both versions are official + current + stable versions.
When I play songs on Spotify on Windows, the Spotify App on my Android phone drains the battery dramatically (10% / hour just for the app). The phone is also getting hot.
I had this problem on every phone I owned: Sony Xperia Z2, Samsung Galaxy S6, Oneplus 3. The first two had Android L before upgrading to Android M, same problem.
What is the solution for this problem? Can I deactivate Spotify Connect somehow? (I would easily trade that function for better battery life.)
