Who Me Too'd this topic

latest changes to the iPad Spotify app

Here are my initial reactions to the latest iteration of this app:

1) A couple of versions back, I could quickly and easily connect to Airplay so I can stream music from the Spotify iPad app to my home stereo system with a couple of clicks. Then you made a change, adding a Devices Menu, which forced me to do more tapping on links to accomplish exactly the same thing. Annoying! Now, you have taken this even further, to a ridiculous level. If I am on my playlists (which is where I generally start to select music), I have to tap the relocated (why?) Tools button, then the Devices link on the other side of the screen, then the Devices Menu, then More Devices, then Apple TV. Five clicks so far; more if I haven't started on Playlists. Now I have to go back, step by step, another three clicks.  All this just to connect my device to my stereo, which I could do in two clicks before you guys started on your "improvement" binge. Why are you making this so much more difficult?

2) Previously, you showed the playlists (typically on the left side of the screen), and you could see all of the songs in the selected playlist on the right side of the screen. Now you have taken this away, and I have to click again to see the songs, and now the album thumbnails are gone. Less information, more hassle. Again, why?

Who is dreaming up these changes, and why do they think they are improvements?
