It seems like just about every suggestion I've seen on these forums gets marked "not right now" by the moderators, but this is one that needs to be brought up over and over until something is done about it. I'm tired of unlocking my screen to see that my lockscreen wallpaper is the album art for whatever song I listened to last on Spotify. I also don't want the player to be up and locked as long as music is playing on my PC. I shouldn't have to pause it just so I can swipe away the popup player that will just come back when the next song starts.

I've swallowed the desktop player getting worse over the years, and constantly ignoring the community is something I've come to expect from Spotify, but enough is enough. The only thing keeping me here is the playlists I've spent time making, but I'm ready to give me money to someone else if Spotify doesn't step up and start listening to what their paying customers want.
