I have been combing this thread for answers but it seems none of the problems are exactly the same as mine and none of the answers help me.
I have had a Spotify Premium account for quite some time now. When I first got Spotify, my iTunes songs synced seamlessly into my Spotify playlist and mobile playlists. I now again have the desire to sync local files to my mobile and am unable to. Unlike many other users, I AM able to see my device listed when Spotify is open on my Mac. All playlists that I want on my mobile are checked for "Offline Availability." All of my starred songs are syncing but my local files which are starred just have a star next to them and are not included in the sync. I have tried syncing wirelessly and wired. Also, the status of the sync says it is syncing my songs (not including local files) but they are not synced in my mobile app even after a restart of the app. Please help!
I bought the a new album, uploaded it to my computer, and would now like to have access to it via Spotify as I no longer use iTunes.
I will cancel my Premium subscription if this continues so I'm hoping there's an easy fix. I am using an iPhone 5 with the latest iOS and a Macbook also with the latest OS. Both Spotify apps are up-to-date on the laptop and my phone.
