So I’ve spoken with a Genius app developer and a not so helpful Apple rep... I loved that I could use the “currently playing” feature on the genius app when I was streaming via Apple Music.
So simple, so fast, so convenient. But I really love Spotify’s playlist features and, conveniently, the Genius app is unable to recognize any “currently playing” songs from Spotify.
Genius says this is Apples fault. They obviously don’t want the iOS Genius app to communicate with anything other than Apple Music. Apple says this is an issue between Genius and Spotify - somehow they aren’t able to sync together on the iOS and Apple has nothing to do with it.
Help! Who can fix this? Just show me what song I am listening to on Spotify on the Genius app. I am lazy. I do not want to search!
