I have Spotify Desktop (Mac), a Google Home Mini, and a Chromecast Audio.
In general, Spotify Connect recognizes both my Google Home (as "Kitchen Speaker") and my Chromecast Audio (as "Dining Room Speaker"). Sometimes it fails to recognize one or the other, but that's another story.
From my Mac, I can play any song on Spotify and stream it to my Chromecast Audio. (see screenshot 2)
However, if I try to play a local file (i.e. a ripped CD), my Chromecast Audio device shows "Can't play this right now". (see screenshot 1)
Is this a bug? What is going on?
