I've used Spotify premium since 2014 and never had a problem until yesterday. I may have listened to 3 albums yesterday when I got an alert from my service provider that I am dangerously close to exceeding my data usage max for the month. I took a look and in one day Spotify had 7 gigs of background activity. Even though I have always listened to high quality streaming and have never exceeded 5 gigs in a MONTH I decided that must be the reason. I went to the settings and minimalized all of my settings. 6 hours later when I'm getting ready for bed I get a message from my service provider saying I've exceeded and lost data privileges for the month. I checked my usage, 11 gigs of background and I didn't even listen to a single song since earlier! I immediately deleted the app and now I'm paranoid of reinstalling it again. I'm pissed about my data since it's only halfway through the month and I have no idea what's going on with the app.
