Since a couple of weeks, after an update, I noticed that spotify does not appear on my home screen (when phone is locked) or in my notification bar at all. 

While listening to songs, I cannot see to what song I am listening to or to switch songs without unlocking my phone and opening the app again. 

I was hoping it would be a temporary bug but till so far it is still not resolved and it is becoming quite annoying. 

Does anyone have an idea? I can not find anything (fellow android users with the same problem) about this on Google play or Spotify community. 

I have a Google Pixel with Android 8.1.0 and Spotify version 8.4.38.621 arm V7.
