As an avid runner, software engineer, and GPS watch developer/tester (Timex, Garmin) I'm baffled at the lack of priority and help related to Spotify on the Gear Sport. I'm unable to log into Spotify on the watch. I've read the pages of forum discussion on this forum and tried to login without success.
1) Uninstall Spotify on the GS
2) Power off/on on the GS
3) Verify on both Desktop PC and phone I know correct Spotify password
4) Verify Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both connect on the GS
5) On phone, use Samsung Gear app to install Spotify on GS
6) Open Spotify on GS; tells me I need to log in with Premium (selected this)
7) Enter my verified username (also tried email) and password on GS
😎 Spotify on GS tells me it can't login 😞
9) Beat head against wall and repeat starting at step #1 (tried like 4 times)
10) Use Samsung Gear app on phone to manually transfer non-Spotify tracks on phone to GS and avoid Spotify all together.
It just doesn't work. There appears to be no way to contact Spotify other than this forum post. If this single problem was fixed, Spotify app on the Gear Sport may actually hit 3 out of 5 stars.
If Spotify folks read this, please contact me as maybe we can work together for a win-win and get this fixed. Darn, just give me the source code and we'll get it fixed.
