When I use Spotify search on my Android 8 phone, I get the notification that there are no offline results for the search string, and that I should go online. At the same time I'm playing music. Now you may think that this music is in the cache, but I just deleted the complete cache. After playing several songs I see it grow with about 4MB per song, so it has an internet connection. I've tried this several times.
How can I get Spotify search to work again?
