My Question or Issue

Recently the Spotify application is not playing through the Google alarm clock. I can set the alarm to link with Spotify and it works but once spotify closes down in the background the alarm clock will not work with Spotify. This is been going on for the last week. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify twice. I also rolled back the updates to Google clock and then updated to the latest version again. Yet, the problem still persists. Please advise. Thanks

Also I will add that the alarm clock works with youtube music no problem. So I have to conclude the problem lies with the Spotify app. I do not want to switch to YouTube music so I hope this problem gets resolved quickly.
