App crashes when phone connects to WiFi

My Question or Issue

Sometime around July 7-13, my Spotify app started crashing whenever my phone connects to WiFi. I can play a downloaded album offline, but if I enter a WiFi zone and my phone connects to the internet....boom, playback stops and app crashes.  It's a real pain when I'm riding my bike in and out of different WiFi zones. My workaround is to turn WiFi off while I'm out and about, but I shouldn't need a workaround when I pay $120 a year for the app.  Anybody else have this problem? 

 

I've been back and forth with Spotify Support for 2 weeks now, but each time I am contacted by a different person and they're starting to repeat the same basic questions ("have you turned it off and on again?") even though I am running all kinds of tests and reporting back.  I wish I could just deal with one person. I also contacted Samsung, with no response.
