I have recently found that Spotify doesn't allow for pausing, skip trick, or go back a track using Bluetooth headphone buttons. I can hit the button for play which successfully causes it to play, but the buttons for other playback commands do not work. This is a recent problem as the headphones I tried this on used to be able to pause and play just fine. I know this is a problem with Spotify as I tried the playback functions on google music and Spotify with not issues. I tested this on two pairs of headphones: the skullcandy venue and the Sony WF-1000XM3.
I have cleared my cache, reset the headphones, and uninstalled and reinstalled spotify all with no results. If this can be fixed please let me know how.
