My Question or Issue
Hello,
I opened an issue for the Desktop app because some artists had their albums not sorted correctly: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Albums-sorted-incorrectly-by-date/m-p/5211458#M1002...
This behavior started happening in Desktop with the launch of the new UI, and by now it's fixed. However, it's been happening in the mobile app for more than a year (and maybe two, I don't remember exactly):
I think that this particular albums have some incorrect metadata that causes this erroneous sorting (but, curiously, they should be sorted this way: "En Concierto (Live)" original release was in 1985 and "Mecano" was released in 1982, the visible dates are from re-releases).
Here are the URI's to the artist and the affected albums:
Mecano (artist): spotify:artist:5BMgsAFg8rZQc3tqs5BB8G
"En Concierto (Live)": spotify:album:75m6SLXmzP2MepOmgX5lvt
"Mecano" (album): spotify:album:1OWPlRO2vf9QFXqw4uPy8D
I hope to hear from you soon 😉
Thank you!
