My Question or Issue
I recently had the daughter board in my Tesla Model S upgraded. That reset the bluetooth connection, so I had to pair my phone again. Upon doing this, the Spotify app on my phone now always interrupts playback on my Tesla Spotify app.
As an example, I'll be listening to Song #1 on the Tesla Spotify app, then I'll get out of the car to go into the gym where I'll use the Spotify Android app to listen to my workout playlist.
When I get back into the car at some point later, Song #1 stops playing as soon as the bluetooth connects, and the Tesla Spotify app says playback has been interrupted because Spotify is active on another device, namely my Android.
I close down the Spotify app on my Android when I'm done working out. I've even tried force closing it. It doesn't matter. As soon as the bluetooth connects, the Android app opens and starts playing (although it's inaudible because I don't use the Android app to play music in my car).
There's no setting that I can find to stop this behavior. All that needs to happen is for the Android app to not automatically start up as soon as the phone connects to bluetooth, but there doesn't seem to be any way to stop this from happening.
It's extremely annoying to have to deal with this every single time I get in the car.
