My Question or Issue
There's a reason I don't have a TikTok or a Twitter or anything like that. Mindlessly swiping in a social media app is a icky gross bad feeling to me. I'm not saying that in a judgmental way about anyone else that enjoys mindlessly swiping through TikTok or Twitter or whatever, but I very much don't. I struggle with depression, I have a litany of mental and physical health issues, And when I come to Spotify, it's to listen to music that makes me feel good about my day, not to mindlessly swipe. I need my home feed back to normal or I'm going to delete my account. This is ridiculous. There's so much articles out there about how unhealthy it is for your mental health to just sit there and mindlessly swipe through things, and you guys are trying so hard to replicate the feeling of mindlessly swiping through social media. What about all the people who don't have social media because they don't want to mindlessly swipe? What about all the people who do have social media and they don't need Spotify to become social media because they already have social media and if Spotify stops being Spotify then what's going to be Spotify? Where will I listen to my music when Spotify becomes TikTok? If I want TikTok I could download TikTok. I don't want it, but if I did, I would already have it. I definitely wouldn't want someone to take away my music player and replace it with a second TikTok. What use does anyone have for two TikToks? I just want Spotify back. I just want to be able to smoothly scroll through my home feed and find music recommendations and playlists that were made specifically for me and tailored based on my music listening interest instead of a never-ending theme of giant podcast recommendations that take up the whole screen and have nothing whatsoever to do with any of my listening history at all
