Im using the spotify web api and have added all the delays, batching, and request limiting I can. The only issue is that after a few hours of using the API, i get rate limited. Correct me if i’m wrong, but when delaying requests to only fire 1 every 5 seconds, there should be no rate limiting issued. I have back off strategies and everything recommended by the docs. I am convinced that my apps (yes multiple apps have this issue) have been marked/blacklisted or there is a rate limiting strategy over multiple hour window that aren’t mentioned in the docs. My rate limits last almost 24 hours when they’re issued for one 429. This has resulted in me maybe having to buy a new account, or changing ip’s. I would like to know if anyone else has this issue or if a Spotify employee could tell me if these things are true. Thanks.
