On desktop you can scroll to the bottom of an album tracklist and see if there are other versions of that album on Spotify - there will be a link that says "1 more release" or something similar. I have just noticed there is no such link on the iPhone or iPad app. This only matters because in some cases those alternative albums are missing from the album list in the artists page if Spotify thinks they are duplicates.
For example the only version available on iOS of Tori Amos - Night of the Hunters album is the instrumental version (spotify:album:7q2Q68Vqvubvou3bKT1oNY) - I am sure she will not be delighted by this as of course the main album is the one with songs on it (spotify:album:1cW90aoFQMoiDTiavZXVO9)!! Sadly I find I cannot find the real version of that album anywhere - it is available as I have it in a playlist and it plays fine from there!
