Artist Profile Claim Leaves Two Profiles, Does not Merge

My Question or Issue

Hey Community,

we recently launched our first techno project on Spotify @ unbenannt unbekannt
Launched through a distributor, an artist profile was automatically created.
We claimed the profile through our regular account (with the associated Email address).

Now however, two profiles show up with the same name. I assumed the profiles would be merged - is that not the case? This poses a problem in the following ways:

- confusion for listeners when they search the name
- cannot create artist playlist on the artist dashboard, but when creating it through the private one it only shows up on that profile, not the professional one
- login with the email defaults to the "private", not the artist profile on the Spotify desktop app

Thanks for coming to the Community.

I was only able to find one artist page named 'unbenannt unbekannt'.

Does your content (singles/eps/albums) show up on two different artist pages? If so, you can report this here (or reach out to your distributor) so that the content will be moved to the right page.

There are two types of profiles: user profiles and artist pages. Since they are two different types, those can't be merged together, if that's what you're trying to do.

If you'd like to feature a playlist on your artist page, you can follow these steps.

Also, keep in mind that you can only manage your artist page through Spotify for Artists. You can't directly log into it through the Spotify app.
