Artists with homonymous

Artists with homonymous

Hello,

I have noticed that under the artist name "Raphael" there were actually several differents artists : ie a French and a Spanish singer.

I don't think they should appear under the same artist  link, this is only creating confusion. I don't know how Spotify usually deals with homonymous artists nor if this is the right place to report this.

Hey 🙂

There is currently no way for Spotify to correct this.

They are looking into ways around this, the main thread on this is over on the Ideas Exchange here.

If this post was helpful, please add kudos below!

To whom it may concern: Please fix this, it is annoying.

I like Raphael, the young french singer (amazing stuff, especially for those who understand french, but not only), and I keep on receiving updates concerning Raphael, the old spanish singer.

It should be easy to fix: Just label one "Raphael (French)" and the other one "Raphael (Spanish)", or something like that.

Tanks in advance.

Ten years later, the homonymous problem on Spotify still exists ... it's really annoying

Unfortunately, the ticket linked by Peter__ https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Separate-Artist-with-Same-Name/idc-p/5487806 has been closed (for no good reason), so we'll have to reopen one... But I'm tired of reopening tickets with no guarantee of it being insta-closed, so I suppose I'll let somebody else handle this...
