Hi all,
Bit confused with this one so I will try and be clear as possible.
I use Spotify on my Galaxy S3 mostly, and 2 weeks ago when i opened the app, it asked me for log in credentials (it normally doesn't) and proceeded to not let me log in and wouldn't recognise my credentials for either my spotify or facebook account. i reinstalled the app, changed my passwords to make sure i was using the right ones, but nada, nothing worked. It keeps referring my to my facebook log in but then making me log in with spotify log in, and round and round we go.
The same has just happened on my desktop Spotify, so I am currently sans music. Anyone had the same issue? I thought it might have been a recent Android update which has caused other issues on my S3, but now its happened on my desktop this doesnt appear to be the case.
Any ideas appreciated.
Cheers,
Rich
hey oddgitt, your desktop seems to be working now. For your S3, try these steps from David.
Unfortunately I can't log in to desktop either, not sure why. I've sent screen shots to support to see what they make of it. I get the following screens/errors...
1 - I log in at the normal screen when I launch spotify desktop icon.
2 - when spotify launches it comes up with another screen saying 'new user please sign up' or 'existing user login', so I log in to the existing user using facebook credentials and it says they aren't recognised. I use spotify username and the same happens.
I'll check out the link you providied for the S3...
Cheers,
Rich
The directions in the link appear to have worked for both desktop and android.
Cheers guys!!

Cool 🙂
Hi all,
I was casually using spotify on the PC Client and I came accross both error 410/404 and I know these to be both issues with Usernamepassword details and Connection issues. I logged out of the account, reset my facebook password (As that's what i'm using it through) and now when I try log back in, all I get is that the username/password isn't recognised.
I've currently tried:
- Using the facebook link to try and automatically getting back into it.
-Changed my Facebook password
-Created a new spotify account to I can post this since it's not allowing me into anything spotify related.
-Checked my internet connection of which is stable at my end.
-Reinstalling the client (Including the deletion of cache)
I'm extremely eager to fix this problem as I find this application incredibly good and is exactly what i'm looking for in a music hub.
The account I can't get into uses the email: Rozer58@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks
Here's an attatched screenshot of how far I get below:
Hey @Rozboz 🙂
When you registered for Spotify, did you get a unique Spotify username and password for your account?
Normally when this happens your Facebook account has become disconnected from your actual Spotify login which is why your Facebook details no longer point to the correct account. If you have those details, you should be able to use them to login.
If no, you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you in tracking down your details and getting you back online again.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
