Can't login to the app on Samsung Galazy S23 - tried everything

Hi I'm on my Samsung S23+, latest operating system

I have free spotify account - it was premium until recently. Moved country and lost the paid premium benefit from a mobile plan.

I've downloaded installed latest Spotify today -8th August.

I've had this issue for the last week:

* I can't log into the app using any usual methods-  email and password, no password option (Email link), use facebook or google account

It tells me "Something went wrong. Have another go?" but all my attempts to try again fail.

I have logged in via web browser- no problems. Logged out of all devices. Changed password. All ok on browser. I have reinstalled app. Restarted phone. Tried with wifi, tried with data instead. All options resulted in same issue.

 

this is a complete mystery to me and every help guide I've checked. Please help. App version 8.8.58.473

Thanks for reaching out.

If you're on free and traveling/you've moved abroad, you can use your account for up to 14 days before you're prompted to change the country settings in your account. Please try this and let us know if you still get the error message.

If you're on free and traveling/you've moved abroad, you can use your account for up to 14 days before you're prompted to change the country settings in your account. Please try this and let us know if you still get the error message.

hi, I can log in spotify on every device, browser etc. but not on the app. It always says "something went wrong". same account, same mail, same keyword... who can I fix that? thanks!

Please try logging into the app using your username (instead of your email address) and password. You can also check if your country setting is set to the country you're in. 🙂

 

You can check what your username is and update your country setting at https://spotify.com/account.

I am also facing the same issue. I can’t login with my credentials and then the app sends a link to my mail address to login and when i tap on the link. It takes me to the app and then says the link is no longer valid.  **bleep** would be of great help

I have been using Spotify for a month for free now in my mobile app my playlist is not working and my desktop app is saying to upgrade it, can't I use it anymore for free or I must pay or buy a premium ?
