Can't signup for spotify

Hello! My girlfriend wants to sign up for spotify but we can't make it. It keeps saying that the username is already taken. We've tried a lot of different names, also names like hahaha181918716 and it still does'nt work. Help please.

I got the same problem 2 days ago. I now figured out that my mail address in some way is now connected to spotify and also not connected. You can see the description of my problem in the following thread:

I discovered that my discdrive was full - so I uninstalled several programmes - including Spotify. I have now logged in correctly - but the Spotify programme will not install. any ideas?

Oh hilarious... Isn't there anyone here who can help us then? Where is the support staff???

I just want to add, that this link http://www.spotify.com/password-reset does not work for me. I just get the message that the username is not connected to an active spotify-account.

Thanks. For me it's saying that the e-mail isn't connected to a spotify account..

It does for me too if I insert my mail address.

Try using the main page then on top click on login, then choose spotify user data and then click on forgot username or password. Then insert your mail address and click on send. I then got a mail with one of the usernames I tried and a link to reset the password. But when clicking on the link I got the error shown in my thread.

Hope I used the correct words because my site is shown in german and I'm not sure if I translated them correct

UPDATE:

Yesterday I also wrote a mail to the spotify support. I just got a mail and they told me that there have been technical problems during the registration process. They fixed the problem and I know can login with my chosen username. So for me it's fixed.

I hope that your problem will also be solved soon 🙂

If you haven't done it already but try using a diff. device, idk what the problem is, I've had over 20 diff. spotify accounts.

Wow! this is an old post. I am having issue trying signup. I worked with support for a couple of weeks and even they could not signup either. Something is wrong with their back end. PLEASE FIX!
