Can you keep your offline playlists after your 30-day Premium trial period ends?

Can you keep your offline playlists after your 30-day Premium trial period ends?

Not trying to be chintzy but...wondering if you get to keep the results of your 30-day Premium music binge if you decide not to continue on with the paid Premium service...

Unfortunately, no, you can not do this.  As you are probably already aware, offline playlists are only available for premium subscribers.  Once your account goes back to the free service, the playlists will no longer be able to be made available offline, and the locations in the cache that store these offline tracks will eventually be overwritten depending upon your listening patterns.

I signed up for an iPad 30-day free trail with a credit card, but that card was subsequently used fraudulently by someone else and my bank closed the account.  Spotify tried to get my subscription out of the old card, eventually sent me an email to say there was a porblem with the account and only then did I put the new card details in.  So I'm fully paid up, but not only have I lost all my downloaded playlists, I'm not able to stream or download anything at the moment.

I put the new credit card details in via my Mac desktop, but want to use the iPad app.  Do I have to sync them up in some way? The Spotify software is not recongnising my iPad under devices.

What could be going on?

Please help - I'm going away for two weeks on Saturday and I'm desperate to get this sorted.

Sounds like you didn't get Premium back. Did you definitely get charged from your new card?

I think I'm getting round it now... I removed Spotify from the iPad, have now reinstalled and it's allowing me to download for offline use, and it's appearing in Devices on my Mac.  But I'm having to build all my playlists again, which is a bit of a pain.

BUT, what a fantastic thing Spotify is - to have such a vast wealth of music available at very reasonable cost!
