Cannot change country

Cannot change country

Hi,

I have a big problem, I am a Premium user of Spotify and just bought today an unlimited family offer. I am from France and are now in Indonesia for holidays. I just created an account as asked by spotify for the members of my family but they cannot connect to my family premium because their country is set to Indonesia (and not france). And of course Spotify says we have to be in the same country....

The thing is, i cannot change the country in the account, my only choice is Indonesia....

 

How can I do? I am unhappy because my visa got debitted in less than 10 seconds but i am unable to enjoy my offer!

Hi @MagixBenjix thanks for posting in the Spotify Community! 

 

Most of those problems come from a difference between the country shown by the IP address, and the one in your profile. Because your accounts were set up in Indonesia Spotify presumes that your "home" location. To change it on free profiles is tricky as it is automatically calculated by your IP. I'd suggest in this case to contact Spotify Care as it seems it'll require some tinkering around in your accounts to have it all working.

 

You can get them through this contact form. If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
