Cannot update my profile

Hey,

 

Everytime I attempt to change my account information, it says "Another account is already registered with this email address." (no **bleep**). I'm the one using this email. As a result, I cannot edit any of my information until this "error" is corrected. Any ideas?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

That error occurs when you have a duplicate account in the system, which is pretty common if you use the same email address on Spoify as for Facebook. If you could get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they can remove the extra account for you. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi peter,

 

I did as you suggested, and you were right. I had a second account linked to my Facebook. Support got back to me within a few hours and everything's good. Thanks for your help!
