Connect to Facebook not Working

Dear Spotify Team, 

I have created an account on spotify some years back and now I cannot connect to facebook using the Connect to Facebook button under Settings -> Social. 

When I try to directly use the Facebook Login as Username and Password - it says the account does not exist, but when I check under Facebook -> Settings --> Spotify I have granted Access to Spotify. I need help connecting to facebook. Any help soon would be great. Also the error code i recieve is 1003.
