Connecting to iPod Nano

I am trying to put spotify on my iPod Nano. I've read the articles on how to do it and when you plug your iPod in it should appear down the left hand side where your playlists etc are.  Mine does not appear at all and does not pop up with a box asking me to sync. Any ideas???

It's not possible to use an iPod Nano with Spotify anymore. You can take a look at this page for the system requirements for Spotify. Let me know if you have any other questions.
