Facebook Login Issue on Desktop App

I have been trying to login to the Desktop app through my Facebook account, but nothing happens when I click on the button. So try using the Facebook credentials to login in but it takes me to a seperate account with the same email. I want to delete the old Spotify account but what concern's me is that it says "The username can't be used again with Spotify" which makes me worry that my Facebook account will be closed as well.
