How do i combine a free account with a paid accounts?

I have a free account and a paid account. They both have different email addresses. Can i delete the old account to reuse the email address?

You can learn how to close your unused Spotify account here. Once the account has been closed, it'll take around 14-30 days for the associated email address to become available for use with Spotify again.
