I can't acces my Artist account

I can't acces my Artist account

I published a track via Freshtunes.

They created my artist account but how can I access to the account? Spotify for Artists ask me to provide verified social media, but I don't have that.

What can I do?

Hey @Lineo,

The Twitter account doesn't have to be verified. Linking an account helps Spotify verify your identity so they can grant you access to Spotify for Artists.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for answering!

I created @lineo_music on twitter with one of my emails, put it on the claim my profile process, and it didn't work.

What do you mean by 'it didn't work'?  Did you receive any error messages?

Please provide some more info 🙂

By that I mean that I got this email from Spotify:

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out. We'd be happy to shed some light on this for you!

Taking a look at the Twitter profile provided, it seems we're unable to connect it to the artist.

We'll need to see the email address that you request access with on the artist's social media platforms. This will help the team identify you as the artist.

You can request access to Spotify for Artists again here. If your application is successful, you'll receive a welcome email.

If you need anything else, let us know!

Alright.

I'd recommend just doing exactly what they want you to do, and then there should be no issues. 🙂

I am not a english native speaker and I surely misunderstood something. What I got from that message is that I have to provide a twitter account that has the same email registered that I used to register in freshtunes. If that's correct: there's the problem. I used to have a twitter account under that same email but I cancelled the account a while ago and by now is impossible to be used. So I created another twitter account with another email and tried the claiming. It is the email associated with the twitter account the whole problem?

Thank you!

No, they just want you to put the email address that you're using for Spotify/Spotify for Artists into your profile bio on Twitter. You could also post it as a tweet. 🙂

Ok, gonna change it my freshtunes email and the try it again. Also I will tweet something that let them understand it's me.

Thank you very much, I'll come back when I have a resolution.

You helped me! The issue is solved. I have my artist profile approved!

Thank you!

On IG as well?

I need to put my Email on my IG Bio?

May i ask is it possible to use another sort of social media platforms in order to claim the profile such as Instagram?

Hey @J3RRy,

Thanks for reaching out.

If you're talking about claiming a Spotify artist profile, it can only be done by following the steps in this article. However, if the system is prompting you to add any social media, Instagram should work. In case it doesn't, you can always reach out to our Artist support team in the Contact us button here for further help.

Hope this helps. The Community will be here if anything else comes up.
