I'm NOT 'abroad'.

I'm getting this message about a 14 day limit on usage abroad. I suspect it's because I may have installed Spotify while on a two day visit to Belgium a few weeks ago.<br><br>How do I get this fixed please? I cannot even get into my account profile to see if threre's some way to specify UK as my country, because I can't login. Catch 22!<br><br>Terry, East Grinstead, UK

Hi, and welcome to the community!

 

What account are you using now then?

Have you tried checking it from this link?

 

If you can't login even after resetting your password, I suggest you submit an online contact form; and someone at Spotify can look into it for you.
If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

I don't know what account I'm using because I'm now thoroughly confused! The username assigned when I registered the iPad app while in Belgium was terrypin-BE. But that's the one that (with it's associated password) gives me the 'abroad' message. It seems an unintelligent design that won't let me into that account to change the country!

Since my post I've been trying various ways to login or re-register. That was on my Desktop PC though and I may well now have two or more accounts.

More confusing still, it seems I can simply use the Web Player on Spotify.com without logging in.

Also, is a login necessary to use this community forum? I appear to be able to do so right now, but earlier I was consistently getting messages that I wasn't recognised, etc.

Since posting the above I've now examined my profile (on my iPad) using that link you kindly provided. It's now showing United Kingdom as my country but I don't know whether that's because I changed it earlier on my PC.

And I don't understand why there's no username in this profile!

I've had a look at your account on our system and can see that your country is set to the UK, and all appears correct.

Can I confirm that you're logging in with your username and password, and not your email address/Facebook?

Hi Jamie,

I replied in detail to the identical email I received. Hope you received it and can clarify the points I raised in it.

But in short the answer is that I could not login directly to Spotify using my correct username and what I thought was my correct password. I had to use Facebook instead.
