I'm a Premium member and have to pay for downloads

Solved!

I'm a Premium member and have to pay for downloads

I'm a Premium Spotify member through my broadband provider in The Netherlands.

I want to download some tracks. With a Premium membership this should be free. But everytime I try, I get the message that I have to pay (buy downloads).

I already checked with my broadband provider, and everything there is well registered.

Who can help me?

Hey,

Spotify Premium is a way you rent music as long as you pay. In Premium you can listen tracks via Internet as much as you like.

Also you can download tracks to Offline mode (max. 3,333 tracks). However in Spotify Store you can get a tracks as .mp3 format, downloads as .mp3 are'nt free.

Account subscription tiers (free, unlimited, premium) are for streaming only. The downloads are separate and cost the same no matter what subscription you're on. Where did you hear that you can download music with premium?

You may have confused this with offline playlists, which can only be listened to on a Spotify app. To use this feature, make a playlist, right click the playlist and choose Available Offline.
