... 9 ads in a row! This seems a bit excessive.

It has happened 3 times now. 3 or 4 was fair enough but now the 9 seems like the hard sell has become bullying.

This will only push people back the bows of the pirate ship. Hopefully this is just a bug and not the direction the service is headed.

I am in Australia. I wasn't sure if it was a region specific thing or a bug as I was asking some friends OS if they had the same thing and they hadn't.

I would suggest you try a quick clean reinstallation of the client just to see if that makes any difference. 

Talking to one of my housemates about this, sometimes they say they get maybe 3/4 longish adverts in a row but never as many as 9!
